Chapter 2- Why do things keep trying to kill me?
" Explain!" , I screamed.
" Look, we would tell you but do not have any time! We have got to keep moving." , the blonde boy explained.
" Your just going to have to trust us?"
I stopped struggling, and I laughed a bit ( very sarcastically I might add).
" Oh, I'm sorry! I should just "trust" you. Well it's just a bit hard to "trust" you when you have been almost turned to stone by monster girls, almost killed by poison, been take by two boys I have only just met ( who inexplicably know my name) , and am now attached to a tree by dagger. I am so sorry I am not being "trustworthy".
I began, trying to pull, out the dagger again. I tried to use my dagger to cut myself out but I might stab myself in the process.
" Look! We saved you from the gorgons, we saved you from the poison, we dragged you out here to protect you, and the reason you are attached to that tree is your own fault ." , the blonde boy said.
" My fault! My fault!"
I couldn't believe him! With all I had been through, after all of that I should just be all " Oh yes thank you strange boys that I have just met, for dragging me out in the middle of woods and just not telling me anything, lets be the best of friends and run through the flowery meadows." Yeah sorry buddy boy, this is not something you take lightly.
" Jake, that was a bit harsh... I can understand what she is going through. I would have probably acted the same way.", the boy I kicked rebutted to the other boy.
" Listen, my name is Aaron and that's Jake." he pointed to the blonde boy, "we were sent here to take you to Camp Half-blood where you will be safe."
I finally pulled the dagger out of the tree. There was a silence. I didn't move, and neither did they. My dagger was in front of me, my hand were shaking.
" Please just trust us, please just listen.", Aaron pleaded
" Or you will surly get killed if you don't", Jake added
" Probably." , Aaron added in after that.
I looked down at my feet, they were covered in mud and scratches, and my dress was ripped all over. I must have looked awful and my I just didn't even what to know how the rest of me looked. I had made of decision, I would hear them out.
I put my dagger away. I looked back up at them, then something strange happened there eyes became glassy and there swords where at the ready again. They looked petrified. The same guys who took down, three gorgons where scared of something. This was bad.
